Truck in question is a '00 Silverado 1500 2WD, 5.3L and 244,000 miles. Finally, this servo is ideal for high-performance applications and is fully compatible with our entire line of SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit and Reprogramming Kits™. After a recent shift kit install that helped me out on our Impala, has anyone installed a Corvette servo on a Silverado 1500 4L60e to firm up 2-3 shifts I've read the Corvette servo can chirp the tires if you get on it, but that would be too much for me in normal driving. Furthermore, the differential area between the band apply area and the release side of the servo piston alters the 3-4 clutch accumulation rate making the 2-3 shift firmer. Consequently, this servo provides a shorter, firmer 1-2 shift and with an increased apply area, provides the 2-4 band greater torque capacity in second gear only. The tools you’ll need include: Hammer Channel locks Flat head screw driver Pick The first thing to do when removing the factory servo is to pry the retaining clip out. The TransGo 7-2P servo has the largest 2 nd apply surface area of all the original equipment servos. 4l60e Corvette Servo Installation When installing your new corvette servo, it can be a little tricky the first time, but don’t let that deter you. The Corvette-type piston was primarily found in the tuned, port-injected Corvette as well as the high performance Camaro and Firebird. From the factory, the 700R4 and 4L60E transmissions were equipped with 4 different servo sizes based on application. The TransGo 7-2P Corvette servo piston assembly fits 1982 to 2015 General Motors vehicles equipped with 700R4, 4L60/E, 4L65E and 4L70E automatic transmissions.
